Our Medical Staff
Dr. Jose Pierrend, M.D.
Dr Jose Pierrend was born in Peru. He obtained his medical degree in 1998 from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
One year after, he came to the U.S. where he trained in Internal Medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (Chicago, IL); after his training he served one year as Chief Resident.
He then spent one year as Geriatrics Fellow at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
In 2004 he moved to Arizona and joined Phoenix Medical Group. Since then, he has practiced at several hospitals in the West Valley area and built a steady outpatient practice.
He currently practices at our Surprise location and does inpatient care at Banner Del Webb and Banner Boswell Medical Center. Dr. Pierrend is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
